Earlene Landry Obituary

Earlene Landry, 66

Dutch Brook

It is with broken hearts we, the family, announce the passing of our beautiful wife, mother and grandmother, Earlene Landry. Earlene passed away on Friday, January 20, 2023, at home.

Born September 6, 1956, Earlene was the daughter of the late Joseph and Agnes Johnston. She is survived by her husband Joe of 45 years; son Jeffery (Chelsey) Landry, daughter Jolene (Alex) MacLellan; brothers Gary (Maggie) Johnston, Tommy (Gayle) Johnston, Joey (Janice) Johnston, Cecil (Christine) Johnston; sisters Raylene (Paul) Drysdale, Joanne MacDonald, Rose (Kevin) MacDonald; 3 grandchildren, Ella, Jackson, Amelia, as well as several nieces and nephews.

Besides her parents, Earlene was predeceased by sisters Margaret Kokocki, Barbara Arsenault and Georgie Gale.

Earlene worked as a business owner and secretary, and spent the last 35 years running the family business (Landry’s Vacuum Service) with her husband and best friend, Joe. Earlene enjoyed spending time with family, watching Jackson play hockey, taking in Ella riding her horse and playing with Amelia.

She loved spending her summers in Northside East Bay, hosting family events and entertaining everyone who popped by. She truly loved doing things for other people. Her time spent with CWL was so important to her and she treasured the many friends she made on the parish, diocesan and provincial level.

Visitation will take place on Tuesday, January 24, 2023, from 2-4 pm and 7-9pm in T.J. Tracey Cremation & Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney 902-539-7175 with the Funeral Service to be held on Wednesday, January 25, 11:00 am in St. Marguerite Bourgeoys Parish, with Father Bill Burke officiating, reception to follow in T.J.Tracey Funeral Home.
