Obituary of Danielle Eve Belliveau
Please share a memory of Danielle to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
Danielle Eve Belliveau, age 30 of Halifax, passed away on December 7, at QEII Hospital, surrounded by her loving family.
Born in Moncton, New Brunswick to Marcy Robinson and Andrew Belliveau, Danielle, or “Deedee”, lived with special needs.
She could neither speak, see, nor walk, yet she brought joy and unconditional love to everyone she met. Despite her special needs, Danielle participated in life to the fullest. She graduated from Halifax West High School, and post graduation she spent many happy years at the Dartmouth Adult Service Centre (DASC), where she was able to experience something new every day. Danielle was a pure soul — she lived for her music, her family, and the many caregivers who supported her.
She is survived by her parents Marcy Robinson and Andrew Belliveau (Dawn), her sister Haley Randall (Matt, nieces Sadie and Scarlett), and her brother Jack Belliveau (Celia, nephew Mackenzie).
The number of devoted individuals and caregivers who contributed to Danielle’s life is vast and we thank them all. However, a very special mention to Dr Wayne MacLeod and Dr. Desmond Leddin, whose care and advice for Danielle was beyond measure. And we are forever grateful to Linda Wilson, who cared for Danielle as if she was her own for 13 years. Danielle’s sister, Haley, and brother, Jack showed endless love, protection, inclusion and devotion for Danielle throughout her life. It was this support from those around her, and the unconditional love from her parents, that allowed Danielle to live the best life possible. Danielle enriched every life she touched, and we find peace knowing that she is now in a better place.
“A sorrow shared, is a sorrow halved.”
“A joy shared, is a joy doubled.”
