Mom and Dad, my deepest and heartfelt condolences on the loss of your beautiful little boy. I'll spare you the empty 'end of his pain' and 'in a better place' platitudes, as I know all you must feel is pain and sorrow that I could never understand. That 'Better Place' should be playing around under your feet, getting in your way and being a beautiful general nuisance every day....
It was a pleasure and an honor taking your precious Jude for a little ride around the Sackville Sports Arena Parking lot on my big white Goldwing only a month ago. I was sorry I showed him how to work the throttle, he tried to make my bike FLY. The only thing he complained about to my Janie was 'I miss my big hair'.....His smooth top made him no less beautiful. Jude was the reason we rode across Canada in August and September to raise money for research, so that one day no mom and dad ever have to endure your pain again. Jude had more courage and toughness in his baby finger than I will ever have in my whole body. If he needs another ride on my bike, I am at your service. If there is any way I am able to ease your pain, bring comfort or help out in any way, please simply ask. Little comfort, I know but rest assured, your wonderful little angel will inspire me to continue doing what little I can to help the little children still in the struggle.
