It is with great sadness that I announce the death of my dear husband Wayne “Schneider” Wilson, age 71 at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney on Tuesday, October 15,2019.

 Born in Sydney, in 1948, he was the son of the late M. Evangeline Wilson.  Beloved husband of Bertha (Keeping)Wilson; her family, Rebecca (John) Lane, Edith (Paul) Campbell, Liz Osmond, David, Bill (Mary), Ches, Alan (Brenda), Walter (Amy); foster brother, Clary; his best buddy Paul; many cousins, nieces and nephews.  Besides his mother, Wayne was predeceased by his in-laws, Bill and Lucy Keeping and brother-in-law Clyde.

Dedicated to his church and Branch 78 Legion, Wayne was a faithful member and worker for both, helping anyone in need.

Visitation for Wayne will be held Thursday, October 17, 2019 pm 2-4 and 7-9 p.m. at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 370 Reserve St., Glace Bay, NS (902-849-4199). A funeral mass will take place Friday, October 18, 2019 at 11:00 a.m. at Immaculate Conception Church, Bridgeport, with Fr. Daniel Boudreau officiating.  His wishes were to be buried with his mother, Burial to take place in St. Eugene’s Cemetery.
