Dear Wendy and family, Johns passing seemed so sudden. In our hearts we think, I’ll drop in next trip and visit and sadly that will not come. I think back on the wonderful visits we did have, with our children. I Remember your thanksgiving visit to our home in Digby and Johns strange story about the beet root, so funny! We had a great visit and barbecue at your house where John did his famous coffee roast of pork. I have tried it several times since, but it never seemed to taste as good, perhaps I choose the wrong wine, ha ha! Our last visit was in the hospital, where John seemed in great spirits and glad to see us. Know that you are in our hearts during this time of grief and may the Lord Bless you and Keep You. Peg and Alston MacAlpine

John, although we have not been close for some years, we always knew you were there in our circle. Back to the early TIANS, Tourism RITC and TIANS HRC, you were a great strength to those organizations and a leader in Human Resources. Both José and i held you in great esteem and i particularly appreciated your guidance and mentoring. There was so much quality and goodness in your spirit. May you rest in peace.
To Wendy, Graham and Caroline, i send my sincere and lasting sympathy.
Judith C, and if he was here, José would also want you to know our thoughts are with you.

My sincere condolences to John's wife and family. I have only known John for several years, talking with him at Good Life Fitness . John had a great sense of humor and it was inspiring to see him still being active in the gym. I will miss our friendly chats.

I am shaken by John's passing. John and I go back nearly 35 years when we were part of Canadian Training and Development Group. Over the years we became good friends as well as colleagues. John was an inspiration to us all. He was smart, professional, insightful, persistent, good-humoured, kind, and generous with his time. He had a passion for helping people and he expressed that through his work as a trainer, facilitator and coach as well as his volunteer activities. Even in retirement he helped others. He was very good at asking the tough questions that got you to think and take corrective action in your life. I was thinking of John this week and he was on my list of people to call to see how he was doing. I'm sorry I didn't reach out sooner. Our thoughts are with Wendy and their family. He will be sadly missed.

My partner Charles Bower and I met John years ago when he came to Ledgehill to facilitate. We immediately were drawn not only to Johns professionalism but to his warm personality. Years later I worked with John on the ALS NB-NS board, again he showed great leadership and understanding of human nature. John and I would always chat about our common bond of living in South Africa and still having family there. John leaves a legacy of touching many lives, a wonderful one indeed. My condolences to the family on the loss of this very good man, Pauline Murray
