Kenneth Wilson Riles, age 86 of Eastern Passage, passed away July 11th, 2019, at Sagewood Continuing Care

Born in Halifax, he was a son of the late Henry and Alma Riles.

Kenneth graduated from the Seniors Police Academy in Eastern Passage, was a retired HRM employee and Zamboni driver for the Sackville Arena, and loved doing the weekly lexicon, playing bingo, and bocce ball.

He is survived by; daughters Liz (Tony) Barnett, Diane (David) MacLeod, Shelley (Clifford) Daley, and Tanya (Danny) d’Entremont; step son Gilles (Tammy) Victor; brother Howie (Joan) Riles; sisters Judy (Jim) Beeswanger and Hope (Claude) Gagne; first wife Joan (Riles) Kelly; grandchildren Amber (Scott), Christopher, Jennifer, Andrew, Brandon, Brittney, Nathan (Rebecca), and Ryan (Tori); great-grandchildren Lexi, Brooklyn, Riley, Liam, and Hunter; as well as several nieces and nephews.

Beside his parents, he was predeceased by his second wife of 30 years, DeDée Victor, as well as siblings Dorman, Lillian, Ronald, and Shirley.

A Celebration of Life will be held Monday, July 15th, at 11:00 am with reception to follow, at T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Halifax. (71 McQuade Lake Crescent, 902-835-4212) Interment to take place in St. Peter’s Cemetery.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Kenneths memory can be made to Sagewood Continuing Care in Lower Sackville.

The family wishes to extend a special thank you to the outstanding staff at Sagewood for their wonderful care of our father.
