Doug was a good man. Provider, husband and father. He was the cute guy who moved to Winona and fell in love with Karen. On a trip to NS, to visit Karen, my sister, Anne, met her husband.
Doug and Karen were long time friends with Anne and Burnell Field. So Doug has been in and out of my life here in NS over all these years. Easter at Killarney, Christmas dinner at the Citadel and many birthdays along the way.
My sincerest sympathy to Eric and Susan, and my school buddy Norm, Love Faith

Sincere condolences from a Winona friend who grew up living next to the Pinders and a good old friend to Norm. I recall seeing Doug jump a fence to try to put out a fire that some neighbourhood terror started. He also was a good friend to all in school and did not abide bullies. Doug was an amazingly kind man, as I recall.
I was amazed to see Johnny Bower next door to a cottage I went to one week. I think it was with Norm.
Memories...pressed between the pages of my mind.
Doug B.

I had the great pleasure of working with my pal, Doug, during his days as a financial planner. It was a joy to watch him service his clients with sincerity and their financial goals at heart. We
travelled quite a few miles together and it was always a wonderful learning experience for me. My last, and a favourite, memory was watching him ride away on his white trike. Sure
going to miss our great conversations at Timmie's. RIP, buddy.
