My name is Joanne Champagne Mozingo. I was a good friend of Bob Dickson, and his sister, Barbara, when I was younger and grew up in Halifax. I now live in Naples Florida, and would like to get in touch with Bob’s sister Barbara.
Is there a possibility that I could have Barb’s address to send her a note?
Please advise. Thank-you for your time regarding this request of mine.

Heather & The Dickson family,
Heather, I am so sorry for your loss. I worked with Bob in sonobuoy development at Hermes (Ultra) from 1991 until his retirement. I remember Bob as a skilled engineer and a capable problem solver. He had a big physical presence and dependable kindness about him that made him like a father figure to those around him. I remember Bob’s happy smile when presented with a design challenge I felt was too big to solve. I remember time spent in BC onboard a test vessel at sea in a wild winter night storm that I thought would be the end for both of us. I am grateful for having worked with Bob and for having known him. He will be missed.

My heart goes out to you Aunt Heather in this time of loss. I feel very sad that I missed out on getting to know Uncle Bob as an adult as that is such a different type of relationship than as a child. I wish I lived closer so I could attend the service but I will be thinking of all of you. Please pass my love on to Craig, Robbie and Amy. This must be such a difficult time for all of you.

I learned of Bob’s passing from a former colleague from Hermes Electronics, and I wanted to express my sadness, and my sympathies to you his family, to hear of his passing. I worked in the drafting office of Hermes Electronics from 1980-1984 – and I absolutely loved working with Bob. He was “one of a kind” and I have thought of him often over the years when I reminisce about my days at Hermes. My thoughts are with you all at this sad time. Denise Dolliver
