Obituary of Margaret C Cunningham

Cunningham (Borden) Margaret -Age 85 of Halifax passed away peacefully on February 13, 2019 after a lengthy illness. She was the daughter of the late Bill and Bessie Walsh (MacDonald). After Margaret brought up her 8 children and got them all through school, she went to work as a cook at Peter Green Hall Children’s Centre for 18 years. Margaret took up the game of golf where she was a member of Pin High Golf Course for 16 years and loved playing golf with her friends. Margaret was also an avid bowler for over 40 years. She later returned to work doing home care retiring at the age of 79! Margaret is survived by Sons, Bill, Bruce, Donald, David and Kevin; Daughter Margaretann; 15 Grandchildren, 17 great-grandchildren, 1 great great- grandchild. Sisters, Roxie, Alice, Deanie; brothers Freeman and Harold; Margaret also leaves behind many great friends. Beside her parents, she was predeceased by her daughter Sharon; son John; loving husband Jim; and sisters Claire and Jessie. There will be no visitation by request. Funeral will be held Monday, February 18, 2019 at 11am at the Anglican Church of the Apostles, 6670 Bayers Road, with Rev. Mark Marshall officiating. Reception to follow.
