I met Margaret in 2005, I hired her as a home caregiver at the time and we became fast friends – she was such a fun & loving person to be around and very dedicated to her clients. I reflect back on our friendship and feel very fortunate to have had her in my life. She spoke so fondly of Jim and her family and even after I moved away from Halifax in 2007 we still kept in touch through cards, letters, texts and the occasional phone call and visit – though not often enough. She was very strong in her faith and words of wisdom she once shared with me “God will provide” have stayed with me to this day. I last corresponded with Margaret over Christmas and it was only then I found out that she wasn’t well. I am so saddened to read of her passing and wish to express my condolences to her family. I will remember her always.
I love you, Margaret.

So sorry for your loss, especially to Kate Vieth. Nanny Margaret was her mother figure and Kate enjoyed sharing many activities with her. Kate will have many wonderful memories and should be proud of the time they spent together. Margaret displayed a strength and love for life that all should consider. Our condolences to the whole family.

I was sorry to hear the news of Margaret’s passing. I had the opportunity to work with Margaret at Peter Green Hall Children’s Centre. She provided nutritious meals for so many children, staff and families. Overtime, we recognized that both families were dealing with illness and had the rare opportunity to listen and provide support to one another. My thoughts and prayers

Although I did not know Margaret as well as I would have liked to she was certainly an inspiration to me. Her years of caring for her family and caring for others has left a lasting impression.
A beautiful lady with a big heart, she will be remembered by all who crossed paths with her.
My condolences to her family,
Mary Pratt

Sorry to read about Margaret’s passing this morning. I was her neighbor on Bayers Road for over twenty five years. She always had time to chat with me and supply me her great pickles quite often. She will be missed by all. To all her family and friends my thoughts are with you at this difficult time, Frank Beck

I am very sad of Marg’s passing. I tried to see her before Christmas but she was not up for a visit.
I left for Mexico on December 27 and will not be returning home until March 3.
Marg made my father, Jim so happy and helped him in so many ways that I will always be grateful to her.
She was a big part of me and my kids life as they were growing up. They still talk about her birthday cakes that she would make for them.
I have never stopped thing about her even though we did not see each other much over the years.

We were saddened to hear of dear Marg’s passing. She was such a special friend to our mom, Edna, and they shared a deep faith in God. Marg was loved by all of us. We have cherished memories, especially on the golf course. The “lunch bunch”, Marg, Edna, Gerry, Peggy, Millie, knew how to have fun, and were wonderful role models in persevering through life’s trials as well as celebrating every happy event. We send our deep condolences to her family. Kathy & Graham, Brian & Marilyn, Jim & Eva (Landry family)
