Janet, I recently retired to NS and was looking at maps near where my sister and her husband are looking for a smaller house post retirement. When I saw the area I recalled I helped Elwood many cold evenings when he was building the house on the hillside out near Birch Cove. When I saw the map, I wondered if you guys still lived there and so I googled Elwood’s name and up came this obituary.
I was so shocked. He was a very hard worker and an overall good guy. I liked you both and should have kept in contact. Moving to Toronto and coming back to NS for brief trips didn’t allow me much time to see anybody. I always wanted to go see your Mum but she remarried and I didn’t remember her new married surname.
My sincerest condolences on your loss. I know this will be a difficult time of year for you, but hope good memories will give you strength.
