Obituary of William James ‘Bill’ Clarke

William James Clarke, 76, of Halifax, NS, passed away Wednesday, June 1st at home. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late William James Sr. and Mae Clarke. Bill spent 25 years at Revenue Canada as a Professional Chartered Accountant, ending his career as Assistant Deputy Minister. He always said ‘paying taxes was a good thing’. As much as he enjoyed his work, it never got in the way of his family life. He is survived by his wife Angela Clarke of 52 years, sons Michael (Darlene) and Darren (Jocelyn); daughter Michelle (Matthew) Trask; sisters Joan (Bob) Conrad, Carol Buchanan, Sandra (Don) Condy; grandchildren Haleigh, Regan, Breanna, Maggie, Connor, Maya. Visitation will be held Monday, June 6 from 1:30-2:30 pm in St. Ignatius Church, Bedford, with a funeral service to follow at 2:30pm. Donations may be made to the Canadian Red Cross or The War Amps.
