David, we just learned this week the very sad news of Elaine’s passing. Jim feels especially apologetic for not knowing or attending her service. Elaine was so likeable and memorable with her big smile and BIG laugh. Her caring way, sincere kindness, fun loving and long list of domestic talents will always be remembered by us. David: How does one accept the loss of a life partner? You don’t but you continue to exist and cherish the love and life that was shared. David, Elaine was like a big sister to me. We had a lot in common in our journey with cancer but also we share a love of gardening, baking and my mom’s pickled beets. I had warned Elaine about my mother that the beets would just keep coming and they did.. We really understood each other and she was a big support. I will never forget her kindness and her never give up attitude. She always had words of encouragement. In tough times. Deepest sympathies to you and your family and the DeMont’s.

David, I was saddened to learn of Elaine’s passing this week. I had worked with Elaine, as a client when she was at RBC and then as a colleague at CMHC. I have fond memories of us sitting and chatting about ” old times in the mortgage industry” or just about life in general. David,I am so sorry to hear of Elaine’s passing.I worked in the Prince George Hotel parkade for many years,and you and Elaine were two of my favorite ‘monthlys’.I’ve thought of you and Elaine often over the last 19 years,and it always brought a smile to my face.I thought you two had a wonderful love story.I also remember your kindness when my grandmother died 23 years ago–you brought me flowers to cheer me up.I also remember the bottle of Sambuca and coffee beans you gave me one Christmas.You and Elaine were such nice,thoughtful people,and I appreciated your kindness.I will always remember Elaine with fondness.You are in my thoughts.
