We are very sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. We have fond memories of Doug, from when we all were much younger. We are members of the Scotsburn / New Glasgow Muir family, and knew Doug well, before we all moved away. Doug was a friend and we are sorry he is gone. Our sympathy to his friends and family.

Cousins Sheila Dickson Lamplugh and Lynn’s Dickson Sarty from Halifax send our heartfelt sympathy for Doug’s passing. Remembering fondly the times shared in Scotburn as youngsters swinging on the big tree in the backyard feeding the fallen apples to Uncle Hugh’ s pigs, as Dad (David Dickson) , Marcella’s younger brother, teased and visited, always enjoying her fresh biscuits and homemade preserves. We had lost touch with Doug since Marcella’s funeral. Condolences to Scott and Todd and family.

i will always remember Doug fondly. We became close friends at Mt A, stayed tight for our single years, and unfortunately drifted apart after that. We did stay in touch, but unfortunately not as often as would have been nice. Every s often I would get a call from the “Bear” an always knew who it was as his opening greeting was always, Hi Cook!
RIP old friend.

Hello, sorry to hear of Doug’s passing. I went to West Pictou with him and we graduated in 1963. We used to hit the roads on the weekends driving his father’s Studabaker Lark. I last saw Doug at the wake for his mother.. He was a great guy .
