Gwen Simmonds, passed away in Halifax at the VG Hospital peacefully on August 16th, 2016. A daughter of Donnie Simmonds and Beatrice Jackson, survived by one brother and two sisters and her sons, Tesfa, Danso and Taayo.
Gwen was a kind to a fault, in touch with both her Mic Mac and North Preston roots and left a legacy of faith, strength, and encouragement wherever she went.
Visitation will be held at 11:00am on Tuesday, August 23rd in the Halifax SDA Church, 2063 Parker Street. A celebration of life will be follow at 1:00pm. Family flowers/memorial donations may be made to: Halifax SDA Church c/o Pastor Scott. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Bedford (902) 835-4212.
