Obituary of John C. Smeltzer

John Cyril Smeltzer, 87, of Halifax, passed away Nov 7, 2016 at QEII Hospital. Born in Halifax, NS he was a son of John Leo Smeltzer and Eileen Isabel Smeltzer. He worked at Beneficial Canada for 38 years. He is survived by sons, Philip Smeltzer and Michael Smeltzer; daughters, Michelle Smeltzer and Diane Smeltzer; grandchildren, Morag Bos, Luke Smeltzer, Stewart Smeltzer, Sydney Marshall, Kael Marshall and Amelia Blake. He was predeceased by wife Joan Isabel (Hardwick) Smeltzer. A memorial service will be held Saturday, November 19, 2016 at 10:00am in St. John’s Anglican Church, 2187 Larry Uteck Blvd, Bedford. Interment in Gate of Heaven cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to a charity of one’s choice. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T.J.
