I am so very sorry to learn John passed away in Nov 2016. My career in business started at Beneficial Finance in May 1982 and continued to Sept 1988 when I left for a new career opportunity. I stayed in touch many years after, then had heard John retired. I last ran into him 10 years ago in Bedford. I was fortunate to have known Joan in those early years and boy, they made a dynamic duo, who loved their children deeply. I will always remember Johann and extend my deepest sympathy to the Smeltzer family. xo Brenda (Taylor) Gamble
