My condolences to all the family. I started at Simpsons at the tender age of 16 and was fortunate to have my training through great teachers like Dorothy( Mrs. Pyke to me!) I can still see her standing overlooking her department and employees. Dorothy was a great lady, kind and caring and she truly made a difference in people’s lives.

To Dorothy’s Loved Ones:
Please accept my sincerest condolences on Dorothy’s passing. Dorothy was on the executive of the Halifax Branch of the Monarchist League when I was the chairperson. Dorothy was a fun loving, kind and gentle soul who could always be counted on to raise one’s spirits and share her wisdom and experience. The Lord know has a new angel to keep him smiling and laughing. She will be greatly missed.

To Dorothy’s Family
Heartfelt condolences on your loss. As a young person I remember the wonderful lady in the China Dept at Simpsons and as the years passed through her friendship with my parents I was fortunate to become a friend to Dorothy as well. A kind and gentle lady who always had a smile and a kind word for all, a true treasure.
As the years passed she gave me the nickname Princess and of course she followed that with a chuckle each time she said it.
Rest in Peace sweet lady, a privilege to call you friend. Thanks for the smiles your Princess will miss you.
Sincerely sympathy to all, treasure your memories.
Deborah McNair
