Obituary of Victor Edgar Stevens

The family sadly announces the sudden death of Victor Edgar Stevens on Friday, January 13, 2017 in Halifax due to a massive heart attack, age 57. Born in Halifax on Friday, March 13,1959, Victor was the only son of Victor Ervine Stevens and Aime Kaseste. He was the first grandchild of Victor A. and Esther G. Stevens, and also of Edgar and Melinda Kaseste, formerly of Prangli Island, Estonia. He is survived by his parents, and sister Darlene Lynn Stevens, as well as special friends, Karen, Aimee, Hailee, Mitchell and Justin. Affectionately known as little Vic or Vic the third, he started his life in Fairview before the family moved to their first home on Stanley Street, followed by Connaught Avenue. Vic was a born perfectionist, voracious reader, and legendary for his collection of pinball machines. He loved music and jamming with Gary and friends at the barn. Vic found his niche in the motion picture industry where he made close friends, and excelled as a set dresser and a production technician, IATSE local 849. He had a love for motorcycles and spring. He lived for fine weather when he could take his Harley for the first ride of the season. He was an all-around friendly guy and always ready for a good chat. He will be greatly missed by uncles Keith (Violet) and Bruce (Jennifer), and by aunts Judy (Dayrl) Burgess and Milvi (Phil) Charlton. He was loved and respected by cousins Cathy (Vincent) Boutilier, Bob (Monica) Stevens and Norman (Sandee) Stevens; Jennifer (Ron) Murphy, and Jacqueline Burgess; Shannon, Patrick and Ryan Charlton; and Daniella Fiarmu. Vic was predeceased by his grandparents and by an uncle, Valvo, in Sweden. There will be a memorial service in the spring to be announced.
