Obituary of Myron Lee Burbidge

Myron Lee “Mike” Burbidge of Halifax, age 81 died January 30, 2017 at Queen Elizabeth II hospital. He was the son of Albert and Katharine Burbidge of Miami, Florida. Graduate of University of Miami engineering, he joined and went on to a successful 20 year career at the Ryder Truck Rental Company, rising to district manager and board of various civic groups in Memphis, TN. His love for the outdoors brought him to Nova Scotia in the mid 1980’s where he set up a print-marketing services company in Dartmouth, NS. He enjoyed all sports summer or winter, reading and traveling. He will be missed by his wife of 27 years, Ghislaine; daughters, Donna (David) and Marilyn; son, Thomas; step-sons, Stéphan (Rúbia) and Daniel; grandchildren, Dylan, Max, Sydney, Toby, Nikky, Tracey, Tiffani, Jake, Gabrielle, Mathieu, Margaux and Alina; sisters, Marilyn (Allen) and Paula; brother/sisters in law, Madeleine (Damien), Georges (Marielle), Marcel (Malvina), Marie-France (Ingo), and Donald (Pauline); and many friends more.
