Obituary of Shyla Marie Johnson

Shyla Marie Johnson, 44 years old of Halifax, Nova Scotia passed away July 1, 2017 surrounded by family and friends at the QEII. Shyla was a daughter of the late Barbara Johnson and Curtis Jarvis. Shyla was and will remain a joyous life force. Her smile and laugh was constant, contagious and unforgettable, her sense of humor fast and ferocious. She will be missed by many, forever and a day. She worked in dietary at Northwood Manor for a number of years. Graduated from Eastern College with a medical course and spent her last years working for the Provincial Government ending with a job she loved at Vital Statistics. Shyla was survived by her one and only, the apple of her eye her daughter, Chayce (Doll). Also survived by her second parents, Norma and Derek Barker; her brothers, Cory, Aaron, Curtis Paul (Alicia); and sister Jeneé; many aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. Predeceased by her brother Scott. Funeral service will be held Friday July 7, 2017 at 11:00am in Saint Catherine of Siena Parish, 6476 Bayers Road, Halifax. Arrangements have been entrusted to T.J.
