I had the pleasure of frequently spending time with June during the past several years. I always called her Junnie. She was the most stylish 90+ year old I had ever encountered. Her youthful hairstyle, her classy eyeglasses (blue, pink, etc.) and her wardrobe were awesome. Right down to her shoes. I was never disappointed.
Her face lit up when she smiled and she laughed easily. June loved music, black and white movies, dancing and above all her cats. She shared stories about her life in the Forces and reminisced about her young life at the Lodge. I loved her stories.
Although the past several years were particularly challenging, June was so fortunate to have had Sue and Jason care for her in their home. Although her health was deteriorating, she was loved and cared for until the end. I will miss you dear Junnie.
