Age 79 of Hammonds Plains, passed away peacefully on December 4, 2024 in the QEII Halifax Infirmary surrounded by family. Joyce was born in Sutherland River Pictou County.

Joyce and husband Ross married in June 1970 and later settled in Hammonds Plains where they built their own house.

Joyce was a graduate of the Nova Scotia Teacher’s College and was a teacher at both Sycamore Lane Elementary and Hammonds Plains Elementary.

Ross and Joyce adopted both their children.

She is survived by her loving husband, Ross; daughter, Anne Marie; son, David (Tara Lea); grandsons, Ashton, Keiran, Julian; granddaughters, Sienna and Madison; sister, Ann; brother-in-law, Greg (Nancy); sister-in-law, Ruth (Agar); best friends, Judy Knox and Lennie Reese.

Joyce was predeceased by her parents, Robert and Jean Campbell; sisters, Laura and Peg.

A celebration of life will be held on April 26, 2025, in the Hammonds Plains Community Centre, 2041 Hammonds Plains Rd. from 2pm-5pm.

In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the NS SPCA or the Alzheimer Society.
