My deepest condolences to Wendy’s family and friends. Wendy was a gem, a very compassionate nurse with a healing heart. Wendy’s soft voice and soothing disposition was heartfelt. I feel blessed to have known Wendy and felt so sad I couldn’t be at her celebration of life.

I was so very saddened to hear of Wendy's passing. I met her many years ago when my husband, Buddy, and I were patients of Dr. Crosby. Wendy was extremely kind and compassionate to both of us, and was especially supportive throughout Buddy's illness. Wendy and I were room mates this past summer at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital. I enjoyed our chats and was comforted by her quiet strength. Although we were both dealing with serious health issues, Wendy was always there to encourage and support me in my recovery. My condolences to Wendy's family, whose dedication to this wonderful woman was obvious to anyone who saw them together. Wendy was an amazing woman. She will be missed.

I am so incredibly saddened to read of Wendy's passing. Sending along sincere condolences to her family and friends. I met your beautiful mother back in 1989 when I became a patient of Dr. Crosby's and was pregnant with my first daughter. They were a wonderful team; and, Wendy was always the same with her friendly, warm and compassionate manner. In her natural way, Wendy took the time to truly know myself and my two daughters. She'd often share stories of her children and would always beam with pride!! To her family, please know the incredible impact your wonderful mother made to so many in her profession. Rest in Peace, Wendy, you truly meant so much to so many!!

I am so shocked and saddened to read this. I met Wendy when I started to see Dr. Crosby nearly forty years ago and what a team they made. Wendy made a visit to the doctors office very comforting with her kind compassionate manner. She made you feel like you were family and never rushed you and really listened. Her obituary is indeed a wonderful tribute to a wonderful woman. After the practice was closed and I would meet Wendy out shopping she would always stop and talk and ask how I was doing. Rest in peace dear Wendy and know you have touched my life and many others with your kindness.
With sincere condolences,
Linda Kingsbury

Our condolences to all the family our thoughts are with you. Wendy had the kindest smile and caring nature will be dearly missed. We have enjoyed many good times with her over the years when in Cape Breton during summer, enjoying tea in the sunshine at the bungalow and talking about flowers in her garden. Many years beforehand, my father would share about all the games of bridge with Wendy and Danny. Memories of Wendy will live forever with us, she was such a special person.

Thinking of your mum makes me smile. She always had such a familiarity about her. Like you knew her forever. Wonderful nurse with a calming presence and compassion. Wendy was definitely in the right profession and not many of us can say that. She will be missed and have peace knowing she was so incredibly well thought of.
