Please share a memory of Linda to include in a keepsake book for family and friends.
It is with great heartache, that we the family of Linda Bernadette Martell, 60, of Halifax, announce her sudden passing on November 6th, 2024, at home. Born in Dominion, she was the daughter of the late Robert (Bobby) and Geraldine (McDonald) Martell. Linda worked her entire career caring for others. She started her nursing career at Northwood and then spent 30 years working at Nova Scotia Health’s Rehab Center in Halifax, retiring in 2022. Linda’s dedication to her profession and her compassionate care touched many lives. Linda is survived by her siblings Peggy, Brenda (Darrell), both from Glace Bay; Ralph (Claudia), Dartmouth; Brian (Ellen), Middle Sackville; David (Wendy), Howie Center; Debbie (Troy), Cambridge, ON; and Tracey (Roger), New Victoria. Linda is also survived by several nieces and nephews, whom she loved unconditionally - Jonathan, Heather, Chris, Vanessa, Jennifer, Scott, Andrew, Justin, Adam, Olivia, Baylee, Bryson, Riley, and Ryan. She also had several great nieces and nephews. Linda’s God children were her nephews Riley and Ryan. Linda was predeceased by both her mom and dad Robert (Bobby) and Geraldine Martell, as well as her brother Danny. Linda had an amazing group of friends who were like family to her. Whether they were playing darts, going to music events, travelling, or socializing, they were always there for her, and she cherished their friendship. We thank each of you for your love and support of our sister - Tracey, Raylene, Barbara, Barb, Larry, Mike and all her special friends at Capital Sports Bar. Linda was the kindest person you could ever meet and always took the time to remember birthdays, Christmas, and the importance of family. She lived everyday with hope and optimism and lived everyday of her life to the fullest. Her passing has left a void in the hearts of her family, friends, and many more whose lives Linda touched. We ask that you remember Linda, not for her passing, but for the way she lived life, and for the profound impact she had on the lives of those who had the pleasure of knowing her. No visitation upon request. Family will receive guests from 1-2 pm on Friday, November 15th with Celebration of Life at 2 pm at T.J.
