I saw her picture and I was so sad to learn she passed away so suddenly and so young. She dedicated her whole life looking after others and she only had 2 years of her retirement in. My very first job was with Linda at Northwood and of course I was a new grad who felt nervous being out in the world. That was until I met my partner ,Linda. She was so kind and patient teaching me the ropes that I was over being scared and had so much fun at work. We laughed and joked around and had such a great time looking after our patients. I give credit to Linda for teaching me how to be an excellent nurse and I so wish I had of reconnected with her over the years as I retired myself last year. Being from Cape Breton myself we became friends from day one. That was over 35 years ago and I can still remember her sweet face smiling at me when I came to the floor. I am so sorry you lost your beautiful sister. She was truly an angel on earth as she now is in heaven.

I was saddened to learn of Linda's passing, having worked with her for many of her 30 years at the Rehab-part of the Old Guard. It was always reassuring to see Linda on the ward-calm, cool and collected. You knew your patients were in good hands. Thinking of you all as you celebrate Linda's wonderful life in Cape Breton later this week.

My deepest condolences to Linda’s family for such a great loss. Linda and I lived just down the hall from each other. We had so many good times together, we shared the best of times together but also a few tears along the way that all girlfriends do. She came to visit me in New Brunswick at my summer RV park and of course all my friends fell in love with her while sitting around the fire at night and listening to the guys playing the guitars and singing. I will and already do miss my little buddy just down the hall but am very proud to have been able to call her my friend❤️

I started working with Linda in 1998 at the Rehab. We instantly hit it off and became friends. Gina, Linda and I , formed a little group called the “Barron Woman” where each year around Mother's Day we would celebrate the fact that we don’t have kids. Even though I left the Rehab and Linda and Gina Retired, we have continued to meet up. Linda was beautiful inside and out. I will miss her so much. Gina and I will continue our tradition, and cheers her every Barron Woman’s Day.

I worked with Linda at the Rehab Centre for many years. If I remember correctly we met on the bus commuting to work together. She was so friendly and welcoming when I first started working there. We became fast friends and shared lots of laughs together, attending work social gatherings or just going out for dinner. I haven’t seen or spoken with Linda for many years but I will always remember how warm and welcoming she was. I was shocked and saddened to hear of her passing. She will forever be loved and remembered . May she rest in peace.

I'm shocked and heartbroken after reading of Linda's passing today in the paper. Our friendship began in 1986 when we nursed together at Northwood and shared many crazy stunts together She went over and above with her nursing skills and was admired and respected by all her patients. Such a precious personality and jokster. We just texted each other last week and were planning to get together for our regular lunch date. I love you buddy and will miss you terribly. Rest in peace my friend.

I'm sending heartfelt condolences to Linda's family, friends and loved ones. Linda had a knack for making people laugh and her stories were always such a delight to listen to. She certainly had the most unique expressions! There wasn't a single time that she didn't have me roaring as we chatted away about life and the interesting characters she met along the way. Rest easy Linda.

So sorry to hear of Linda's passing. Grateful I was back home to visit in September and spend time with her. We lived in the same condo building and met during the pandemic. Larry, Barb and I would play cards and laugh so much while stuck in our homes. We then enjoyed eating out, live music and dancing and making new friends at the Capital Sports Bar. Condolences to Linda's family and friends, we will all miss her.

To all Linda’s family we extend our deepest condolences. I worked with Linda at the NSRC and was in awe of her caring nature. Six years ago my husband had a massive stroke and went to the NSRC for rehab. Linda was still working and she quickly became his favourite nurse. She made us laugh every day and gave him the exceptional care she is known for. Over the last six years when we came to Halifax for Richard’s Botox, we would occasionally be able to meet up for lunch. We will miss those lunches but grateful we saw her recently. Linda was one in a million and will be missed so much by all those whose lives she touched.
