We, Sadie’s cousins, send our love, condolences and prayers to her family. We always enjoyed her visits to ‘the Cove’. During one of those visits we were celebrating Come Home Year. In her early eighties she wanted to participate in the dory races so I volunteered to row with her. Nice that we came in second place but what a beautiful memory we made that day. Thereafter when I saw her I called her ‘dory mate’, (a term of endearment) always bringing a big smile on her face. She took offence being referred to a ‘senior with limitations’. She was inspiring, young hearted, spunky and witty. We were blessed to have had a cousin like Sadie and will miss her visits to ‘the Cove’.
