I had the pleasure of working with Murray at NSP and being a member of the 10am coffee crew for a number of years. Murray was always knowledgeable, approachable and most importantly patient with anyone he worked with. His kindness and laughter was shared with everyone who had the opportunity to interact with him. I was sad to hear of his passing and he will be missed. Condolences to his family and friends who had the honour to share their time with him.

I first met Murray when he began his career at NSP. Many of us would get together most Thursday nights at Dick Turpins pub for a few beer. Murray was always there with his friendly, good humour. We have continued to get together with a few other retirees over the years. All I can say is, he will truly be missed.

Very sorry to hear about the passing of Murray. Condolances to his wife Heather, his siblings and other family members. My brother Laurence and I played often with Murray when we were very young children during the 1960s. He was very kind and easy going even as a child.

Deeply saddened to hear of Murray's passing. He was a great mentor when I was learning about databases at NSPower, and I'm pretty sure I met my husband because he (Duane) wanted to join our group to work with Murray. Always great to chat with at NSP reunions. He will be very much missed.

Words cannot express how saddened I am to read Murray's obituary. My heartfelt sympathy is being expressed to all of his family. Murray and I met at Halifax Vocational School in the data processing course, and our friendship continued on through our many years of working together at Nova Scotia Power. Murray was so kind-hearted, gentle and considerate to everyone, his spirituality will live on because of the many memories that have been made.
Rest in peace my dear friend.

I worked in the NSP IT department in the mid 80's and Murray was one of the regulars who would go to Dick Turpin's with the gang after work. Always such a great guy, quiet, funny and smart. My sincere condolences to the family.

So sorry to hear of Murray's passing. He was a lovely guy. I only knew him in his younger years as he was a high school friend of my brother's. I remember he was always kind and had a great smile. Treated me like a little sister. I saw Murray a few years ago when my brother passed away and we stopped and chatted for awhile...still a kind soul. My condolences to his family.

I'm sadness by this news. Murray and I started only days apart and NSPI, memories go way back to not just working together but the many fun times at bowling tournaments and other fun social events we had back in the day. The IT team at NSPI was such a close family. Murray was such a really nice guy and we worked together along with Duane on so many projects and Database restores and testing , the memories bring a smile now. My sincerely condolences to Heather and the family on this huge loss.

My sincere condolences to Heather and both their families.
Murray and I began our careers with Nova Scotia Power at the same time. I had the privilege of both working and socializing with Murray during my years there. He was the consummate professional at work and an awesome teammate to have during our bowling tournaments. He had a wonderful sense of humor. He was a kind and gentle person. The world was a better place with Murray in it. My heart hurts knowing you are gone but I consider myself blessed to have once been a part of your life. RIP Murray.
