Uncle Billy loved to laugh, tell jokes, and make people smile. He had wonderful stories to share, both wise and humorous. He was generous with his love and always made room for you in his home. He was a friend to all, and stranger to none. Despite living several provinces apart, we had the opportunity to make wonderful memories whenever we visited. I remember one visit in my early 20’s when he teased me and cautioned me about picking up sailors at the bars. How we laughed when I married a Marine several years later!
I will miss you dearly, Uncle Billy! Love and prayers to Aunt Barbara and all of my cousins. Love, Darlene Listopad (née Jollimore)

To the Family of Bill
We wish to extend our heartfelt condolences to his wife Barb and the entire family.
My husband and I met Bill and Barb about 20 years ago. Both myself and my husband Alex were employed with Sobeys, Mumford Rd.
Bill was such a kind, caring and proud man. He spoke highly of his family and his grandchildren.
Where ever Barb was , Bill was right beside her.
As a past employee of Sobeys I have to say Bill and Barb were always my favorite customers. Bill ensured to always stop by to say hello and to share stories and laugh .
It was an honor to know Bill. My husband and I feel very blessed to have known you and that you were present at our wedding.
Most recently we read Bills story in the paper. He was a humble and hard working man.
Bill had a heart of gold and he will be forever missed.
Sending our thoughts and prayers to the family for the loss of your beloved Bill.

So sorry for the loss of Bill. I remember him back in my high school days hanging out a lot at Barb and Bills house with all of his kids. We were all so young back then. He was always so welcoming and kind. The most thing I remember is him playing at christmas the song " Gramma got run over by a reindeer" over and over and over again!!! He loved that song. Lol
He had a big smile and a big laugh.
You were so very lucky to have such a wonderful caring man in your lives. Cherish every memory you shared with him.
My condolences to the Family
Love and hugs to you all.

Barbara and Family, We were so saddened to learn of Billy's passing. Having lived on Joseph Street from 1987-1992 we saw what a caring husband, father and grandfather he truly was. He had an amazing personality, was energetic, enthusiastic in his projects, kind and caring. His soft heart and encouragement towards Matthew was evident many times during our stay and will never be forgotten.

I remember Bill from my 5 summers working as one of two lawn cutters at the gardens during summer holidays from university. Bill was one of the highly dedicated gardeners working under Buzz Sullivan who reported to superintendent George Power. All, including Bill, were proud of the hard work we all did resulting in a spectacular Victorian masterpiece. As a young man, I learned a lot being around Bill and the men , who were older than I was. I still miss my summers in the Gardens to this day. Until we meet again Bill.
