Obituary of Lloyd Lamont Christie

It is with saddened hearts we announce the passing of Lloyd Lamont Christie, 61, of Englishtown, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on February 13, 2024. Born in Baddeck on March 26, 1963, Lloyd was the son of the late John L. Christie and Jessie (MacAskill) Mudge. Grampy Lloyd was beloved by everyone he met; always with a story to tell and a Timmie’s in hand. The engine never had a chance to cool down, he was always up for a drive. Lloyd loved to fish and knew where all the best fishing spots were. He loved spending time with his grandchildren and family and will be forever missed by all. Lloyd was the proud father to Cory (Jenna), Chris (Kat) Wilson, Jolie Smith, and Jaime LeFeuvre; loving Grampy to Lexie, Kyle, Kenzie, Clarke, Kory, Kessel, Denver, Brandon, Riley, Sam, Sachary, Jackson and Parker; brother to Norrie MacDonald, John Christie, Beckie Brown, Angus Christie, Eddie Christie and David Christie. Lloyd is also survived by his special lady, Gayle, and Dawna Wilson Christie, the mother of Cory and Chris. Besides his parents, Lloyd was predeceased by his brother, David Eugene Christie, and stepfather, Thomas Mudge. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J.
