Kenneth James Singleton, 59 Glace Bay/Dartmouth, N.S. We are deeply saddened to announce the unexpected and sudden passing of Ken Singleton, age 59, of Dartmouth, Nova Scotia. Kenny was born May 30, 1964, in Montreal, Quebec and lived in Deux Montages until the age of 12 when the family moved to Glace Bay. An imaginative and talented journeyman carpenter, Kenny truly loved to create and share his passion for building, especially with his family. He worked all over Cape Breton, in Alberta and finally in the HRM on many different building and construction projects. He loved leading or pitching in on work for friends and family and was a very kind soul who would help with whatever he could if he was able. Kenny also spent time serving in the Canadian Coastguard. Kenny was predeceased by his parents Ken Singleton and Irene Moore, his niece Brett and grand niece Jaycee. He was also predeceased by his father-in-law, Neil Campbell. Left to mourn his loss are his partner Janet Campbell, and their children Tyler (Sidney) and Kate who were the joy and light of his life. Also left to mourn are Ken’s sisters Leanne Singleton (Calder MacKay) Lynn Singleton, Lezlee Tracey (Kenny), Loreta Lyons, Laura Groom (Peter) and all his nieces and nephews who he loved dearly. Also surviving is Kenny’s mother-in-law, Elizabeth Campbell and his sisters in law, Susan, and Linda.
