It is with heavy hearts that we the family announce the sudden passing of Cecil Jamieson, age 64, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital, Sydney with his loving family by his side.
Born in Glace Bay, he was the son of the late Alex and Martina ‘Sis’ (MacDonald) Jamieson.
In his earlier years, he was a miner, working in Grand Cache, Alberta; CN Railway Alberta and later was employed as a lab technician with Quadro Engineering in Ontario. Cecil enjoyed riding his Harley, playing pool and cards, going golfing, socializing with his friends, and playing with his dog Frankie.
Cecil is survived by his fiancé Sandra Caume; his pride and joy, his daughter, who he cherished, Maygn Jamieson; stepson, David Jones; step granddaughters, Jillian and Jacqueline; brother, Tommy Jamieson; sister Marie (Dewey) Smith as well as many nieces and nephews.
Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brothers, Jimmy, Ray, and Vincent, sisters, Elaine Beaton, Yvonne MacLellan, and Marilyn Boland.
Cremation has taken place. A graveside service will be held on Monday, June 3, 2024, at 2:00 p.m. in St. Anthony’s Cemetery, Glace Bay.
