I didn't know Michael well but I can't remember a time that I didn't know him from the neighbourhood, or from seeing him in a Canada Post uniform. Anytime he'd say hi or stop to chat with my Dad, he was all smiles and laughs- I'm pretty sure he was known for that smile! To Michael's family and friends, I am very sorry for this tremendous loss and I'm thinking of you all in this life-altering time.

There are no words to express how deeply saddened we are to hear of Michaels passing. We would like to send our heartfelt sympathies to Diane, Chad, and the Taylor family. Michael was always there to lend a hand at jobs around our home. One job in particular was this past Summer, when after finishing 18 holes of golf he arrived at the house with Kevin and John to help assemble a gazebo. Upon opening the boxes Michael took one look and said I hope this ####### thing was free. Every time we sit under it, we will remember that day. One more memory I would like to share was the time he had cooked sweet and sour meatballs for some occasion; seeing me eating the meatballs he asked if I liked them, I replied they are absolutely delicious. He told me they were made from deer, I agreed that they must have been expensive and time consuming to make and with that he laughed like crazy, he replied no they are from a deer I hunted. Well Michael thank you for my first, last and only taste of Deer. Rest in peace Michael know that the eternal light is and will always be shining on you. Rhonda & Allie Toomey

To all Michael’s family, my heart is broken for you. Got to know Michael working with him at Purolator Courier. He made the place a happy and hilarious environment all the time. He was an amazing guy and stepped up to build my “garden shed” after I casually mentioned it one day at work. So sorry for Chad because no one loved their son more than Michael loved Chad. Michael will be missed!

I am so sorry to hear of Michael’s passing. I taught Michael in Grade Primary and have not seen him in years. He looks the same from this photo with that handsome face and beautiful smile. Michael came from a beautiful family ,whom I am certain are heartbroken. May past memories be a source of comfort during this most difficult time. RIP,Michael! We are so very sorry...Michael was our postman for a number of years and introduced our dog "Pippa" to treats from the mailman. She would wait for him in the window (Winter) and at the end of the driveway (Summer)..always the same time..We missed Michael, as he was such a joy to greet each day. Micheal was the reason I started playing sports that filled my life with joy. I can’t still remember how I looked up to him and my other uncle woody(Brian) sports skill. Ice hockey, baseball, ball hockey he liked them all. I remember him teaching me how to throw a baseball in Nannies back yard. I was both scared and amazed at the talent he had throwing a ball. He could make that ball dance. I will forever miss Micheal and be forever hurt i didn’t tell him as much as I should have what having him around as a child meant to me. R.i.P Hippie I love you .
