Obituary of James Douglas Peach

It is with deep sadness that we, the family, announce the passing of James Douglas Peach. Born in Port Morien, he was the son of the late Howard and Gertie (Nearing) Peach. He leaves to mourn his wife, Gloria (Gaetan) Peach; daughter, Tara (Denis Aucoin); son, James (Tammy Lee); and his beloved grandchildren, Nate and Cohen Aucoin. Doug was predeceased by his parents, Howard and Gertie Peach, his brother, Howard, and his son, Keith. Doug spent his working life in the accounting field and enjoyed the friendship of his many colleagues. He retired as Chief Financial Officer for the Cape Breton Victoria Regional School Board. Post retirement, he served as Chair of the Sydney Airport Authority. Doug's greatest joy was time spent with his family in Gabarus or out on the Mira. Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. A Celebration of Life will take place at the T.J.
