Obituary of James Robert Drewery

James (Jim) Drewery, 72 of Eastern Passage, Nova Scotia, Passed away at home October 5th, 2023. Born in Sarnia Ontario, he was the son of Robert and Genevieve Drewery (Mara) Survived by his wife, Beverly; his two daughters, Karen Christy, and Susan Drewery both from Ottawa, Ontario; and three grandchildren, Madison and Mitchell Christy, Brooke Drewery. He is also survived by one brother, Paul Drewery, Victoria, British Columbia. Predeceased by his parents, Robert and Genevieve Drewery (Mara). Jim served in the Canadian Armed Forces for 22 years, stationed throughout Canada, Germany, Egypt and many other parts of Europe and the Middle East. He had spent many years out to sea being able to visit many places in the world and loved telling stories about his travels. Once Jim retired from the Canadian Armed Forces he started a second career with the Halifax Regional Fire department serving 20 Years. Jim enjoyed Hunting with his long time friend Jamie Myers. Jim loved spending time with his children and grandchildren when they came to visit. After retirement Jim would spend his days going around the Cow Bay loop, having coffee with his long time friends at Tim Hortons, Eastern Passage and loved helping everyone and just keeping busy. Special thanks to Dr. Esawy of the Hematology Department @ Victoria General Hospital, and the Heart Clinic @ the QE Hospital in Halifax. Would like to also say thank you for continuous support from family, friends and Neighbours Celebration of life will be held Thursday October 19th, 2023 @ 2PM at the Lions Club , Eastern Passage, 65 Hornes, Road and interment at a later date.
