Obituary of Jeffrey MacLeod Burden

With deep sadness we announce the passing of Jeffery Burden on February, 10, 2018, at home. Born on May 3rd, 1967 in Halifax, he was a son of Anne (MacLeod) and Donald Burden. He was predeceased by his father Donald (1995) and uncle Donald MacLeod. Left to mourn are Brian (Luisa) Bedford, Pamela (Brian) MacDonald, Hammonds Plains. He is survived by niece Lia Burden, nephews Cameron and Ben MacDonald, Keigan Burden, and many cousins. Jeff graduated from Charles P. Allen High School in Bedford where he played hockey and basketball. He also enjoyed golf. He attended Saint Mary`s University, UNB and Mount St. Vincent. In 1994 he was in a collision while biking on Quinpool Road. He received a serious concussion from this, resulting in a negative impact on his life. Jeff enjoyed working at Atlantic Gardens, Clearwater, Adessa, and was an excellent tour guide at Ambassatours where a special relationship was forged with fellow guide Phil Corning. Jeff was an avid reader, loved History, current events and was very computer savvy. He possessed a keen memory for many things. He had a soft spot for dogs, especially Cassie and Bruin. Jeff leaves his former wives, Tammy Kemp (Bedford), and Bev Smith (S.C.). Memoriams may be made to the Nova Scotia Brain Injury Association, Children`s Wish Foundation or Bedford United Church of which Jeff was a member. The Celebration of Jeff“s life will be held on Thursday February 15th at 2:00 pm at Bedford United Church, officiated by Rev. David Hart.
