Obituary of Bernard "Bernie" William Arsenault
We are saddened to announce the passing of Bernard “Bernie” Arsenault, 75, at the Cape Breton Regional Hospital on Wednesday, September 13. Born in Margaree, Bernie was the son of the late Lubin and Florence Arsenault.
Bernie enjoyed bowling, darts, fishing, dancing, shaking his “booty” and camping. He was known in the Labourers Union as a “Super Labourer”. He is survived by his partner of 14 years, Ann Ley; son, Trevor Arsenault; daughter, Leasa Julien; grandchildren, Keenan Arsenault, 4 and Tyler Julien, 11. He will also be missed by his special bear claw buddy, Lena. Besides his parents, he was predeceased by his brother, Joseph and wife, Barbara.
Cremation has taken place under the care and direction of T.J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, 6 Churchill Drive, Sydney, 902-539-7175. Visitation will be held on Monday, September 18, from 9-10 am in the funeral home with a memorial service following at 10 am in the Chapel, Fr. Conrad Edwards officiating. A reception will follow.
