I just heard of Krista’s passing, what a sad loss. Back a while ago I met Krista through a friend and knew but briefly. I can only recall her to be all things good: kind, vivacious, happy, joyful, and loved to laugh. What stands out most to me is her willingness to help others, this was reflected in her work helping those afflicted with struggling with mental health issues and addiction. She judged no one, a rare quality to be sure. Deepest condolences to her family and friends.

I am so sorry to hear of Krista’s passing. I have suck fond memories if her from our younger years. We had many good times at her holiday bashes at the old homestead. Krista was so full of life and laughter and never complained about the crappy hand she was dealt in terms of her health. Whenever I ran into her in recent years, she was always to happy to see me and hear about me and my family. Rest easy my old friend. Condolences to the Gardiner family. Kim (Gouthro) Smythe

Krista shared a room with my mom at the CB Regional Hospital in November/22. Within minutes of meeting her, both mom and I felt we had known her for years. I could leave the hospital each night, knowing that mom had someone special right next to her. Very sad to hear about Krista....we worked togther for many years at Addiction Sevices and later on in other roles. Her heart was with AS and she had helped a huge number of people including fellow staff with her sensitivity and unique sense of humour. I know she had a long struggle with a painful ilness and sorry to say I lost contact with her in recent years....She made the world a happier place...Rest in peace....

I remember Krista from High School. Although I was a year ahead . I remember she was a beautiful soul , always smiling, laughing enthusiastic about life. My heart was broken when I read the post about Krista passing. A very beautiful lady inside and out, that's what I remember. She was always smiling. I am so very sorry for your loss. So saddened to hear of Krista's passing. I'll always remember her smile, laughter and her twinkle in her eye! So much fun! When I was 10 or 11 Krista had included me to go to a record store in Glace Bay where they were giving away a limited number soundtrack albums of the movie Grease! I recall we were outside with everyone in line and waiting for the doors to open and when they did Krista and I made a mad dash to the person holding the albums! Afterwards we went back to Aunt Sally's to play our new treasures! Sending my love and affections to Shelley, Stephanie and Melanie and the rest of the family. Derek
