Russ enthusiastically helped me find my first house, even though it was a starter home with low commission. In business and in person he always maintained a positive outlook. In all my years knowing him, I never heard him say anything negative about anyone. When I bought my second house as a fix-er-upper he worked tirelessly helping out in the initial phase of the project. He happily seized every opportunity, sometimes too quickly, but always learned. Even in his time in Oceanview with dementia he was high functioning and a good conversationalist who never complained. We did Sunday outings every week which amused the staff because of his joyful approach to each day with, “is today Sunday?” He always spoke of his family with pride, and his “ask Sara” was his comforting confirmation.
