I was lucky enough to have met George last year through his good friend Brian during our trip to Nova Scotia. While our visit was short and sweet (just like George!), I was immediately charmed by his lovely personality and wit! May he rest in peace.

So very sorry to hear of George's passing. Athan and Linda were good friends of ours but young George was around a lot in the early days when we lived in Halifax. He was a lovely guy, always smiling, and so kind, like his brother. We didn't get to know him really well but what we saw and heard of him was that he was special. The music was also a tie between us all and we had a few jam sessions with him, the last being at the Rhymer house in Dartmouth. Happy times.
Condolences to his family,
Elizabeth Rhymer

I'm in shock reading George's obituary. We worked together at The Abilities Foundation in Halifax...he was a great guy...we had so much fun...best job and memories. Years later we still chatted by phone. He was a caring son who always made sure his mom was happy and healthy . I hadn't talked to him for about a year.....how sad I am that I hadn't called him more recently.
Sincerely,
Arlyn Skinner

My most sincere condolences to everyone who loved him. Losing George is a big loss to a community of wonderful spirits, some who remain and some who have journeyed on. May he Rest In Peace and Joy! A great soul.

George and I were in the same group of friends back in the 70s. I remember hanging out at his mom's place and eating her delicious cookies. She would let George drive us around in her car. George was the life of the party, always at the centre of things, with a laugh and a smile and music playing. He cared very much about his mother and Nick. Sad to see another good person go so young.

I was a good friend of George's sister Petra and had a younger brother myself close of age to George. I remember George as the sweetest kid and it makes my heart feel warm to think of him. May the angels surround you, dear George. Lovingly, Susan Greenham Gould

I always walked away from George with a smile on my face. I'll always remember him with that same smile. Alas.
