Obituary of Stephen Douglas Kline

Age 56, of Halifax, passed away on Sunday March 5, 2023 in the Halifax Infirmary QEII site. Born in Halifax, NS, he was the son of the late Raymond Kline and Sandra “Cookie” Kline (Lang). He was an avid sports fan especially baseball and Hockey. He was a faithful Montreal Canadiens fan whether they are up or down he was always on their side. He was a referee for minor hockey and umpired minor baseball in the Rockingham/Fairview area. Love for photography and cooking. He was employed at the Atlantic Superstore, Bayers Lake. "Steve" had a great love for life and his family and many friends. Stephen is survived by his mom Sandra “Cookie”; brothers, Pat (Lee-Anne), Mike (Lorraine); sister, Sandra (Gary). He was predeceased by his father; infant sister, Krista; maternal grandparents, Adolph and Rita Lang; paternal grandparents, Earl and Alice Kline. Visitation will be held on Monday, March 13, 2023 from 6pm-8pm in Saint Benedict Church St. Joseph room, 45 Radcliffe Drive. A funeral Mass will be held on Tuesday March 14, 2023 at 12:15pm in Saint Benedict Catholic Church, with Fr. Alex Colautti, CC officiating. Interment will take place at the Gate of Heaven cemetery at a later date. In lieu of flowers donations can be made to the Canadian Cancer Society in Stephens memory. Special thanks to the staff at the QEII, ER, OR and ICU units.
