Obituary of James "Jimmy" Pippy
It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of James "Jimmy" Pippy, who left us on February 6th, 2023, at the age of 55. Jimmy was born in Halifax, but grew up in Sackville, where he developed his love for baking and all things heavy metal.
Jimmy was a loving husband to his wife, Andrea; a proud father to his children, Alyssa, Brennan, and Courtney (Lucas); as well as a devoted grandpa to his granddaughter, "his boss" Alayna. He also leaves behind his mother, Margaret; his brother, Junior and half brother, Steven; as well as many aunts, uncles, and cousins who will miss his famous baking skills and infectious laughter.
Predeceased by his aunt, Gina; and his grandparents.
Jimmy was a man of many passions. He was a skilled baker, and he dedicated much of his life to helping others in their recovery through his involvement with NA. He was a passionate fan of the Boston Bruins, Iron Maiden, and Kiss. He loved to cook for his family, often whipping up a delicious meal while listening to his favorite music.
Jimmy cherished the time he spent with Alayna, playing Mario Kart with Andrea, and hanging out with his loved ones. He was always up for a good laugh and had a warm and charming personality that endeared him to everyone who knew him.
Although Jimmy has left us, his memory will live on through the many lives he touched. He will always be remembered as a kind and loving husband, father, grandfather, son and friend. Rest in peace Jimmy, rock on in heaven! We’ll miss you “Old Mah”.
