Dear Michael, Nicole and family, I grieve with you in the loss of the beautiful and mischevious Joanne…She was my bunk mate in Toronto and I quickly learned what a powerful and fun-loving friend I had.I loved to listen to her stories of getting the Panama house ready, and seeing what the new item was that was making it’s way to the house. My memories of Joanne are hours of laughing, sitting in the sun and enjoying life to the fullest watching the kids run around. Picking berries, chicken fricot, paddle boating, swimming and yes, Frenchies! Joanne was a beautiful woman with a beautiful, one-of-a kind soul. Blaine and I met Joanne when we acquired her house (and the lovely yellow Labrador , Angel) seven years ago. She had a great sense of humour, said it like it was and was always there to offer help if need be. She had a remarkable will to live and fought a good fight against her illness, never feeling sorry for herself, just keeping her eye on the horizon and trying to keep well. She was quite a gal….love to Mike and Nicole from Joan and Blaine.
