Obituary of Robert Anthony Hartling

Bob Hartling, 76 of Bedford Nova Scotia passed away peacefully on Monday January 9, 2023 at the QEII Halifax Infirmary site. Born in Halifax, he was the son of the late, Charles and Maude Hartling (Buckland). Bob is survived by his children, Dawn of Hammonds Plains, Rob (Deanna) of Leduc Alberta; and his sister, Patrcia Hushard, of Halifax. Bob was most proud of his grandchildren; Breagh, Iona, Kayla, Braeden, and Isabella. They were his greatest joy, and he would take any opportunity to tell people about them and their accomplishments. A special thanks to the home care workers of Remember When Homecare who gave our dad such loving and compassionate care and support over the past year. A special shout out to Ashley, Shauna, Anna, Kenzie, Amarachi, Anudat, and Ayooluwa. At Bob’s request there will be no funeral or visitation. For anyone who knew Bob and his love of a good glass of coke and a bowl of BBQ chips, we ask you remember Bob and celebrate the person he was and the life he lived by toasting him with a glass of coke (or your favorite beverage!) He would love that! In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the Parkinson Society of Nova Scotia.
