Obituary of Thelma Algertha Hill

HILL, Thelma Algertha (Drummond), 82 of Halifax, born March 30, 1940 in Beechville, NS., passed away peacefully on January 1, 2023 in Hospice Halifax, surrounded by her loving husband Robert of 62 years and loving grandson, Timothy Hill, and his wife Tonya Hill. She is survived by sons, Robert Jr., Gregory, Quentin; daughter, Crystal; sisters, Evelyn Drummond, and Violet Drummond, all of Halifax; many grandchildren and great grant children. She was predeceased by her parents, Lester & Stella Drummond; brother, Charles; sister, Irene; sons, Calvin, Thane; daughter, Patricia. Thelma was a nannie for many years, a member of the Beechville Baptist Church, and the Beechville Ladies Auxiliary. She was an avid bowler and loved watching sports. She will be sadly missed by all who knew her for her big smile. She always put others first before herself. Visitation will take place on Friday January 6, 2023 from 7pm-9pm with a Ladies Auxiliary service from 7:30pm-8:30pm. A celebration of life service will be held on Saturday January 7, 2023 at 1pm in Beechville Baptist Church, interment to directly follow in the Church cemetery. Funeral arrangements have been entrusted to T. J. Tracey Cremation and Burial Specialists, Halifax. Special thanks to the Hospice Halifax staff from the family.
