Elaine was a colleague and friend for many years when I worked at the Public Service Commission. We had many wonderful conversations. She always remembered everyone's birthday. She was so proud of Kari, sharing many of your accomplishments. She brought fun to the office - and brought me to tears of laughter many a time. The photo above is just occasion when she left everyone in the dust with her Halloween costume. I feel so blessed to have been around Elaine. Rest in love Elaine.

My sympathy goes out to the family and friends of Elaine. I go home each summer and I would send Elaine a message before I left Ottawa. We always tried to meet up...at the house, at the beach, at a dance or even grab a beverage somewhere. Elaine always had a smile on her face and we spent many good times catching up on what was happening in each others' lives. Rest in peace, Elaine. Patsy and Dennis Milosek

Elaine MacInnis I worked with Elaine at the Public Service Commission of Canada for many years. We walk the picket line together. Elaine caught the wedding bouquet at my wedding. |She was a great individual who did her job with great care. Rest in peace Elaine. You have earned your wings.

She had a gift with animals . We had about 12 white leghorn hens and she would pick them up and set them on the board fence , and would tap them on the back. She made a clicking sound in her mouth and the hens would stay there sometimes for hours. Except for one hen it was the rebel it refused to obey the rules. Another time we took her to a farm in Pictou and a big German shepherd dog jumped in the car with us. Our 2 kids Shawn and Melissa were petrified, Elaine just made the same sound and he followed her out of the car. Greg

So sorry to hear of Elaine’s passing. I remember sneaking down to Karen’s house on the pretense of playing and sitting in the house watching Another World with Elaine and Karen. Felt like a real big shot. Elaine always had a smile and a laugh for me…I’m sorry to hear of her passing. RIP
