Obituary of Florence Miron

Florence Miron, 82 Louisbourg, NS It is with great sadness that we the family of Florence Miron, 82, of Louisbourg announce her passing on Friday, October 14, 2022, in Harbourstone Enhanced Care, Sydney, NS. Born in Alberta, she was the daughter of the late Florence and Gustaf Carlson. Florence loved quilting and ceramics in her younger years and enjoyed being the host of these classes. Florence was also a long-time volunteer for the Food Bank, and many more charitable organizations. Florence is survived by her son Edmond Boyer (Laura Mauger); brother Wilfred Carlson; sister’s-in-law, Yvonne Bourgelas, Suzanne Tousignant (Emile), and Monique Cummings; brother-in-law Steve Komazec. Florence is also survived by three grandchildren; Sherry Boyer, Matthew Boyer (Karma Rae), and Phillip Boyer; three great-grandchildren, Hayden, Jaxx, and Cali; as well as several nieces and nephews. Along with her parents, Florence was predeceased by her husband Marcel in 2020, a brother Billy Carlson, and sisters, Rose, Ella, and Violet. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to your local Food Bank. Our family would like to thank the staff of Harbourstone Enhanced Care (MacDougall Court) for the exceptional care given to Florence. Florence will be greatly missed by everyone.
