Florence was a very caring & compassion lady. I worked at the Fortress of Louisbourg for many years with Florence as an interpreter & supervisor and loved to watch her have fun with the visitors. She loved people and truly cared deeply about others. She was a dedicated member of St. Bartholomew's church in Louisbourg and volunteered at the Food Bank in Louisbourg. Always helping others and enjoying being around people in her community. We loved her dearly and she will be missed. Rest in Peace my dear friend.

I am so sorry to hear of the passing of Florence. She was part of the Visitor Experience family at the Fortress of Louisbourg for twenty years, and during that time, she delighted visitors with her sense of humour and her skills as a craftswoman. Her presentations to cruise ship passengers had them laughing uproariously as she charmed them with her saucy wit. She was one of a kind. I, as we all at the Fortress, have missed her since she retired, and we will mourn her loss now that she has passed on. My sincere condolences to her family.
