Obituary of Douglas George Fraser

Fraser, Douglas George 66, of Dartmouth passed away suddenly on Aug. 11, 2022. Doug is survived by his wife of 40 years Susan (Tanner); two children Lisa and Eric (Jacqualine); his parents, Louise and Richard Chaisson; his sister, Annmarie (Perry); and his grandchildren, Bella and Psyman. He will be missed by his mother in law, Janet Tanner; 5 sister in-laws, 6 brother in-laws, and his 13 nieces and nephews, and 15 great nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by his father-in-law Joe and niece Tiffany. Doug was a devoted and loving husband, father, grandfather and son. He was an avid outdoorsman, especially hunting and fishing with his father. He had an enthusiasm for history, enjoyed a good game of Poker, and loved to follow all his tracker apps on volcanoes, earthquakes, flights and Sharks! Doug retired 4 yrs ago to be a stay-at-home Grampy. He loved spending time with his grandchildren watching them paddling at Senobe Aquatic Club. He spent his days with his family and enjoyed making new friends wherever he was. His story telling, smile, and laugh will be dearly missed by all. In lieu of flowers, the family requests any donations be made to Senobe Aquatic Club, or The Royal Canadian Legion. A celebration of life will be held at Mic Mac Aquatic Club, 192 Prince Albert Road, Dartmouth on Aug 22, 2022 at 2PM.
