Dear Susan, Lisa, Eric and family, I just became aware of Doug’s passing. It was only in the last few years I had the genuine pleasure of getting to know Doug. I often chatted with Doug at CP School and Senobe. What a wonder human being, he was. Doug often shared his deep knowledge of Dartmouth history, his passion for the outdoors and many other nuggets of wisdom during those chats. I truly enjoy hanging out with Doug. He was obviously deeply devoted to his family and was a wonderful and proud grandfather. One of my favourite topics to chat with Doug about was the oceans, including whales, research and of course sharks. Thank you Doug for all those after school conversations and may you Rest In Peace.
